Ashley Ellis, LMFT
Silverlake & Global Offices
Ashley has her MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and BA in Cognitive Psychology from UC Irvine. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience at the out patient, Intensive Out Patient, Partial Hospitalization, and Residential levels of care. As a result, she considers herself to be a clinician who is able to work with clients where they are at, as well as support them in getting ready to transition to lower levels of care and back to being able to more fully participate in their lives. She currently works with adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of issues including eating disorders, anxiety, and depression at Fig Tree Therapy Center in downtown Los Angeles as well as has a private practice in Pasadena. She has previously worked in residential eating disorder treatment at Center for Discovery’s La Habra facility as the Program Director as well as a Primary Therapist at Rosewood’s previous Santa Monica location.
In addition to working as a therapist, Ashley also is a curve model for a few agencies in the United States as well as in Europe. She works with clients in a variety of mediums; some of these include magazine advertising, runway, website content for clothing retailers, as well as television. In getting to work in this field, a lot of Ashley’s efforts have involved linking her two professions by promoting body positive awareness as well as psycho education on the media and body image.
Individual and family sessions- Ashley offers weekly (or twice a week) sessions for individuals and families that are looking for support with various struggles and/or to explore further growth for themselves.
Walk and Talk Therapy- Individuals receive the benefit from mental health therapy, while also benefiting from physical exercise. The act of walking while talking out life's issues creates an environment of possibility and change. Walk sessions occur around the Silverlake Reservoir and require assessment and an initial session in the office.
Telehealth sessions -Life can be busy, and that’s ok. That does not mean that our mental health should not be a priority. Sessions can take place over phone or video so that your mental health needs can still be met.
